March 19: Monitoring Federal Updates
The newly formed Federal Updates Task Force is collaborating closely with USF leadership to monitor and respond to federal policy changes, agency directives, and executive orders. There are a number of sweeping proposals and actions from Washington that have the potential to impact how we learn, teach, and research. The task force is working diligently with key partners across campus to share relevant information with the president’s cabinet and with all of you.

February 21: Federal Updates and New Task Force
As the new administration in Washington, D.C., continues to issue a flurry of executive orders and agency directives, many of which affect the critical work of U.S. colleges and universities, USF is tracking the changes and coordinating closely with peer institutions and advisers in Washington.
January 28: Temporary Pause on Federal Funding
Today, there has been a great deal of reporting — and confusion — about yesterday’s White House announcement that federal agencies will “temporarily pause” grants, loans, and federal financial assistance programs.

The task force monitors proposed policy changes that may affect USF, supports USF leadership, and makes recommendations on appropriate responses to federal actions. Additional colleagues across campus may join the task force as needed.
